ROCKS RC PLANES | Flying Report April

May 11-13, 2001: The Newport News Park RC Club (NNPRCC) put on a great show at this year's Airpower Over Hampton Roads. Volunteers Owen Dwire, Don Kohlman, Mike Munday, Carl Nettles, John Philbrick, John White, and Rocks made this event happen! Carl provided tables, banners, and magazines. Everyone brought planes and took their turn talking to guests.

It was great to watch John White working on his small scale electric planes, and the kids loved the retracts on Don Kohlman's plane. In between talking with the spectators, the volunteers watched parts of the airshow. While it took a little work to get this event together, I think we all had a great time!

June 2001: Check 6 Plans and Turnkey RC have enter into an agreement to kit combat planes! You've seen Jack Lewis and Chris Shepherd tear up the combat scene with these great planes, now you can get short kits. Jack tells me that they're already shipping the 2610 scale Mustang. The short kits include ribs, bulkheads, and tail feathers.
